Chessed Chaya
bs”D
Baruch Hashem, beautiful baby boy born today (Thursday 4 Adar II 5784, 14 March 2024). Mom and baby well. Thank you to all the generous donors to this project. Rabbi Shaun Wingrin on behalf of the family.
My name is Chaya.
I’m 27 years old.
I moved from South Africa to Israel in November 2018, where I met my Israeli husband Daniel.
We were married in Israel in August, 2019, where we’ve been living.
We reside on the Golan Heights very, very close to the Lebanese border.
BH we have a beautiful 2 year old Daughter who was born in Afula Hospital in Israel. She was a high risk pregnancy leading to a caesarian on the 2nd August 2021.
My husband, 2 year old daughter and I came to Johannesburg, South Africa for Sukkot, a week before the war broke out in Israel and we have been unable to leave because of flight cancellations.
My husband left to go back to Israel recently where he works on a milking farm on the Golan.
He will also possibly be called back to his regiment.
I am 6+ months pregnant with my second child, and have been advised by a few doctors who have suggested quite strongly that I should have the birth of my baby in Johannesburg.
It must also be done by caesarean section, as I’m carrying very heavily already.
Where I live in Israel, up north, we don’t have a bomb shelter close to where we live. We also don’t have a safe room.
It’s going to be dangerous for my child and I and my unborn baby to try to run for shelter while being 6 months pregnant and carrying a 2 year old. I have no support structure in Israel right now.
It’s safer for myself and my daughter to be here in Johannesburg at this time. I would really appreciate and be grateful for any help with donations for medical funds so that I can PG have this Caesarian section in a private hospital.
The above can be verified by Rabbi Goldschmidt from Chofetz Chaim Shul.
I will need to raise R95,000.00
